Multiphase switching converter and its controller and control method thereof

Abstract

A multiphase switching converter, a controller and a control method thereof are disclosed. The controller comprises a turn-on control circuit and a switch control circuit. The turn-on control circuit provides a turn-on control signal according to an output voltage of the multiphase switching converter and a voltage reference signal, for turning on a plurality of switching circuits in the multiphase switching converter. The switch control circuit provides a plurality of switch control signals to control the plurality of switching circuits according to a mode enable signal and the turn-on control signal. When the mode enable signal enables a group turn-on mode, the switch control circuit divides the plurality of switching circuits as a plurality of groups, and each group is turned on successively according to the turn-on control signal, where each group comprises more than one switching circuit that is turned on simultaneously.
