Information indication method and a communication apparatus

Abstract

An information indication method and a communication apparatus is provided. A non-AP MLD or a first STA of non-AP MLD generates a first frame, which comprises indication information to indicate the padding duration in the initial control frame required for chain switching delay. The padding duration is determined according to the duration of control response frame. The non-AP MLD, the first STA of non-AP MLD, or another STA sends the first frame. An AP MLD, a first AP of AP MLD or another AP receives the first frame. And based on this indication, the AP MLD or the first AP determines the padding duration in the initial control frame. According to this method, the padding duration in the initial control frame can be accurately determined, so that the first STA can complete the switch of corresponding number of transmission chains before the arrival of subsequent data frames.
