Abstract

When capturing an object and generating video that places a 3D model of the captured object in a virtual space using its 3D model data, different effects can be applied depending on the object type. An information processing device comprising: scanning control means for controlling the position and angle of a scanner to scan a placed subject and generate a scan image; data generation means for generating 3D model data from the scan image; determination means for determining the subject type based on a rendered image of the subject generated from the three-dimensional model data; data generation means for generating output data including an image with a three-dimensional model placed within a virtual space based on the three-dimensional model data; and output means for outputting the output data to an external output device. The data generation means generates the output data to include effects specific to each subject corresponding to the subject type determined by the determination means.
