Abstract

The encoding device includes: a circuit; and a memory connected to the circuit. During operation, the circuit selects a first table from a plurality of tables, wherein the plurality of tables are used to correct a movement vector that will become a reference by a correction value specified by an index to a predetermined direction, and each of the aforementioned indices has a correction value with a different interval. The first table is used for a partition of the image encoding object in the aforementioned moving image. Furthermore, a parameter indicating the first index selected from the indices of the first table is written, and the partition is encoded using the movement vector that has been corrected by the correction value specified by the first index.
