The animation image encoding apparatus (11) includes: a feature map conversion unit (112) that selects to package a plurality of feature quantities extracted from an image (T) into a single feature map or a plurality of feature maps; and an encoding unit (113) that reduces the feature quantity of one of the generated feature maps and encodes the reduced metadata.
