Contention-based uplink transmission

Abstract

Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to contention-based uplink transmission. A method comprises receiving a configuration indicating Configured Grant (CG) uplink data channel resources allocated for the apparatus and two or more Scheduling Request (SR) resources associated with the CG uplink data channel resources; obtaining mapping information between the two or more SR resources and transmission parameters related to at least one of Modulation and Coding Schemes (MCSs), Transport Block Sizes (TBSs) or Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states, the transmission parameters being associated with a transmission on the CG uplink data channel resources; selecting, from the two or more SR resources, at least one SR resource to be used based on the mapping information and the transmission parameters; transmitting at least one SR on the selected at least one SR resource; and performing the transmission on the CG uplink data channel resources using the transmission parameters.
