Abstract

Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to contention-based uplink transmission. A method comprises receiving a configuration indicating Configured Grant (CG) uplink data channel resources allocated for the apparatus and two or more Scheduling Request (SR) resources associated with the CG uplink data channel resources; selecting, from the two or more SR resources, at least one SR resource to be used based on whether a transmission on the CG uplink data channel resources is present; and transmitting at least one SR on the selected at least one SR resource.
