Abstract

A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor module, a heat-conducting element, and a thermoelectric conversion element. When the semiconductor module is in operation, it acts as a heat source. The heat-conducting element is in thermal contact with the semiconductor module and receives thermal energy from the heat source. The thermoelectric conversion element is in thermal contact with and coupled to the heat-conducting element. The thermoelectric conversion element can convert the thermal energy into electrical energy. The electrical energy is used to supply a system containing the semiconductor module or directly supply the semiconductor module, thereby reducing external power consumption.
