Abstract

The present invention provides a self-diverging counterflow gas-liquid mixing system and its application. The system comprises a gas-liquid feeding unit, a mixing unit, and a processing unit sequentially connected in the direction of fluid flow. The mixing unit includes a serpentine diverging-counterflow tube comprising an inlet section connected to the gas-liquid feeding unit, a diverging section configured to split the incoming gas-liquid flow into two sub-streams, a parallel-flow section for directing the sub-streams to flow in parallel and generate counterflow, and an outlet section connected to the processing unit. The inlet and outlet sections have equal diameters. The system utilizes multi-section serpentine diverging tubes in combination with pump pressure to induce counterflow within the piping, causing bubbles to self-shear. This results in a short mixing time, high mixing efficiency, and the generation of a large quantity of microbubbles. The system features a simple equipment layout, small spatial footprint, and low maintenance cost, making it highly promising for industrial applications.
