Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for deep penetration laser welding for forming a material bonding connection of at least two oxide-coated metal workpieces (1, 2) by means of a laser beam unit (11), the laser beam unit being actuated for laser beam shaping of a laser beam (10) such that a temperature gradient (gradT) is generated in the liquid melt of the weld seam (4') for the formation of a wide lenticular weld seam (4'), thereby forming a wide lenticular weld seam (4') having a profile angle (αF) of less than 80 degrees, especially less than or equal to 75 degrees, relative to the bonding area (3) and a width-to-depth ratio between 1:0.8 and 1:1.2. The invention relates to a method for deep penetration laser welding for the production of a materially bonded connection of at least two oxide-coated metallic workpieces (1, 2) by means of a laser beam unit (11) which is actuated, for the laser beam shaping of a laser beam (10), in such a way that, for the formation of a wide lenticular weld seam (4'), a temperature gradient (gradT) is generated in the liquid melt of the weld seam (4'), forming a wide lenticular weld seam (4') having a contour angle (αF), relative to the joining zone (3), of less than 80 degrees, in particular of less than or equal to 75 degrees, and a width-to-depth ratio between 1:0.8 and 1:1.2.
