Actuators and robots with speed reducers

Abstract

This disclosure provides an actuator having a reducer whose inner diameter of a hollow shaft is not limited by an oil seal, and a robot having the actuator. The actuator disclosed herein includes: a motor; a first hollow shaft constituting the rotating shaft of the motor; a reducer connected to the rotating shaft of the motor; a first oil seal sealing the outer periphery of the first hollow shaft; a cylindrical protrusion extending axially upward from the input rotating portion of the reducer to the opposite side of the motor, having an outer diameter larger than the outer diameter of the first hollow shaft; and a second oil seal sealing the outer periphery of the cylindrical protrusion.
