Cast roll and film manufacturing apparatus

Abstract

The goal is to stabilize the state of the resin sheet within the casting roll. The casting roll system includes: a roll body, formed in a cylindrical shape; a cooling mechanism; and a suction mechanism. The roll body system cools and solidifies the extruded sheet-like molten resin on the surface of the roll body, thereby shaping the molten resin into a sheet, and conveying the obtained resin sheet while it contacts the surface of the roll body. The cooling mechanism is configured to cool the surface of the roll body. The suction mechanism is configured to suction from the radially inner side of the roll body to the axially end surface of the roll body.
