Abstract

This invention provides a polyethylene film that further suppresses heat-induced curling. A biaxially oriented polyethylene film containing polyethylene resin, wherein (a) the ratio of thermal shrinkage in the length direction (MDHS) measured at 100°C based on JIS Z 1712 (2009) to the thermal shrinkage in the width direction (TDHS) measured at 100°C based on JIS Z 1712 (2009) (MDHS / TDHS) is 0.35 or more and 2.50 or less, and / or (b) the planar alignment coefficient ΔP calculated by the formula: Planar alignment coefficient ΔP = (Nx + Ny) / 2 - Nz, based on the refractive indices in the width direction (Ny), length direction (Nx), and thickness direction (Nz) measured based on JIS K 7142 (2014), is 0.006 or more and 0.035 or less.
