Abstract
This invention provides a silica particle dispersion that can further improve the electrical properties of resin compositions and a resin composition using the same. The invention relates to a silica particle dispersion comprising a solvent and at least 5% by volume hollow silica particles; wherein the silica particle dispersion is prepared by adjusting the silica particle dispersion to a silica content of 2% by mass to obtain a dispersion for testing; the dispersion for testing is stirred at 5000 rpm for 10 minutes, decanted, and evaporated to dryness, with the mass of the obtained solid component being W1, and the mass of the aforementioned dispersion for testing being W; the recovery rate of the silica solid component calculated according to formula (1): W1 / W×100 is 35% or less.
