Blast furnace operation methods

Abstract

A method for operating a blast furnace, characterized in that: the blast furnace has a hydrogen-based reducing gas injection device, a plurality of injection devices are arranged in the circumferential direction of the blast furnace, and the injection device includes an injection lance, a hydrogen-based reducing gas flow rate adjustment system, and a hydrogen-based reducing gas tank. When the diameter of the tuyeres opening of the blast furnace is set as D, the injection lance is positioned within 0.4D from the inner wall of the tuyeres opening towards the outer side of the tuyeres. The method for operating the blast furnace is to control the hydrogen distribution in the blast furnace by adjusting at least one of the hydrogen-based reducing gas flow rate and the angle of the injection lance.
