Aluminum alloy foil for packaging material and method for producing the same

Abstract

The purpose of this invention is to provide a packaging material of aluminum alloy foil that possesses sufficient corrosion resistance and high formability. This invention uses an aluminum alloy foil for packaging materials, which contains Fe and Si, with the remainder comprising Al and other trace elements including unavoidable impurities. The Fe content is 0.60% by mass or more but less than 0.80% by mass, the Si content is 0.50% by mass or less, the number density of second-phase particles of a specific size present on the surface of the aluminum alloy foil has a specific relationship, and the tensile strength, elongation at break, and tensile properties are within a specific range (0.2%).
