Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to a detection system for detecting products with luminescent functions, and more particularly, to a detection system for detecting products with luminescent functions with high accuracy and high detection efficiency. Prior Technology

[0002] There are many products on the market with luminous functions, such as backlit keyboards and glowing mice. However, after these products are manufactured, their brightness and color in illuminated state need to be tested. Early testing methods mainly relied on the inspector's eyes to assess brightness and color. However, because staring at luminous products for extended periods can easily cause visual fatigue, this method resulted in low accuracy and efficiency.

[0003] Currently, testing personnel use instruments such as colorimeters for inspection. While this improves accuracy, many products with luminous functions require testing numerous areas. For example, testing the brightness and color of many areas on a current backlit keyboard using a colorimeter can take several minutes. Clearly, this testing method remains inefficient.

[0004] Furthermore, some products with light-emitting functions have multiple light sources positioned at different angles on their casing. Inspectors need to spend extra time adjusting the product's position to measure the brightness and color of the light sources at these different angles, further reducing inspection efficiency.

[0005] In conclusion, it is clear that a highly accurate and efficient detection system is urgently needed to perform brightness and color testing on luminescent products. Summary of the Invention

[0006] Therefore, one of the technical problems that this invention aims to solve is to provide a detection system for detecting products with luminescence function, which has high accuracy and high detection efficiency.

[0007] A preferred embodiment of the detection system according to the present invention is used to test products with luminous properties. The detection system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a light-shielding chamber, at least one image capturing device, a detection seat, and a data processing device. The at least one image capturing device is disposed within the light-shielding chamber and positioned at the top of the light-shielding chamber. The detection seat is disposed within the light-shielding chamber. The product with luminous properties is placed on the detection seat. The data processing device communicates with each of the at least one image capturing device. The data processing device stores N standard images of a standard product, where N is a first natural number. The data processing device defines a plurality of first comparison regions on the N standard images and calculates a standard brightness value for each first comparison region. The at least one image capturing device captures N first images to be tested of the product with luminous properties. The data processing device receives the N first images to be tested and defines a plurality of second comparison regions on the N images to be tested. Each second comparison region corresponds to one first comparison region. The data processing device calculates the luminance value to be detected for each second comparison region, and calculates the luminance ratio between the luminance value to be detected for each second comparison region and the standard luminance value of the corresponding first comparison region. The data processing device determines whether the luminance ratio for each second comparison region falls within the specified range. If the luminance ratio for each second comparison region falls within the specified range, the data processing device determines that the luminance value to be detected for that second comparison region is qualified.

[0008] In one specific embodiment, the data processing device converts N standard images into N standard grayscale images, and then calculates the standard brightness value of each first comparison region using an effective pixel overlay method. The data processing device also converts N first images to be detected into N grayscale images to be detected, and then calculates the brightness value to be detected for each second comparison region using an effective pixel overlay method.

[0009] In one specific embodiment, the ratio can range from 80% to 120%.

[0010] Furthermore, the data processing device defines a plurality of third comparison regions on the N standard images. The data processing device also defines a plurality of fourth comparison regions on the N first images to be detected. Each fourth comparison region corresponds to one third comparison region. The data processing device calculates the color difference value between each fourth comparison region and its corresponding third comparison region. The data processing device determines whether the color difference value for each fourth comparison region is equal to or less than a color difference threshold value. If the color difference value for each fourth comparison region is equal to or less than the color difference threshold value, the data processing device determines that the color difference value of that fourth comparison region is acceptable.

[0011] In one specific embodiment, the color difference threshold value can be equal to 6%.

[0012] Furthermore, the detection system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention further includes a tilt adjustment base and M adjustable reflective devices, wherein M is a second natural number. The product with light-emitting function has a first light-emitting part and M second light-emitting parts. The tilt adjustment base is fixed to the detection base. The product with light-emitting function is placed on the tilt adjustment base. The tilt adjustment base is used to adjust the tilt angle of the product with light-emitting function relative to the detection base so that the first light-emitting part faces at least one image capturing device. The tilt adjustment base is also used to adjust the first optical path of the first light emitted by the first light-emitting part to the at least one image capturing device. The M adjustable reflective devices are fixed to the detection base. Each adjustable reflective device corresponds to one second light-emitting part. Each adjustable reflective device is disposed at a position relative to its corresponding second light-emitting part. Each adjustable reflective device includes its own reflector. Each adjustable reflective device adjusts its reflector so that the second light emitted by its corresponding second light-emitting part is reflected by the reflector and transmitted to the at least one image capturing device, and the respective second optical paths are all the same and close to or equal to the first optical path.

[0013] In one specific embodiment, at least one image capturing device captures I second images of a product with a light-emitting function at a first focal length, where I is a third natural number. The first focal length corresponds to the first light-emitting part.

[0014] At least one image capturing device captures J third images of a product with a light-emitting function at a second focal length, where J is the fourth natural number. The second focal length corresponds to the second light-emitting part. I second images and J third images form N first images.

[0015] Unlike prior art, the detection system according to the present invention can not only detect the brightness and color of various luminescent products, but also has the advantages of high accuracy and high detection efficiency.

[0016] The advantages and spirit of this invention can be further understood from the following detailed description of the invention and the accompanying drawings. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0017] Figure 1 is an external view of the detection system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a first image to be detected when a backlit keyboard is detected using a detection system according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3 is a modified external view of one of the detection systems according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. Implementation

[0018] Please refer to Figure 1, which schematically depicts the architecture of a testing system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The testing system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is used to test a product 2 with an illuminant function. Figure 1 is a schematic external view illustrating the testing system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention and the illuminant-enabled product 2 being tested. In the example shown in Figure 1, the illuminant-enabled product 2 is represented by an illuminated keyboard. The brightness and color of the illuminant areas on the numerous keycaps of the illuminated keyboard must be tested.

[0019] As shown in Figure 1, the detection system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a light-shielding chamber 10, at least one image capturing device 12, a detection seat 14, and a data processing device 16. In Figure 1, only two image capturing devices 12 are shown as representative examples.

[0020] As shown in Figure 1, at least one image capturing device 12 is disposed within the light-shielding chamber 10 and positioned at the top 102 of the light-shielding chamber 10. A detection seat 14 is disposed within the light-shielding chamber 10 and positioned at the bottom 104 of the light-shielding chamber 10. A product 2 with a light-emitting function is placed on the detection seat 14. The detection seat 14 assists in placing the product 2 with a light-emitting function in a predetermined position. The light-shielding chamber 10 also includes a closed door or shielding curtain (not shown in Figure 1) installed at the opening of the light-shielding chamber 10. Before the product 2 with a light-emitting function is detected, the closed door or shielding curtain closes the opening of the light-shielding chamber 10 to prevent external light from entering the light-shielding chamber 10 and interfering with the subsequent image captured by the at least one image capturing device 12.

[0021] The data processing device 16 communicates with at least one image capturing device 12. In the example shown in Figure 1, the data processing device 16 can wirelessly communicate with at least one image capturing device 12. In another specific embodiment, the data processing device 16 can be physically electrically connected to at least one image capturing device 12. The data processing device 16 stores N standard images of a standard product, where N is a first natural number. The data processing device 16 defines a plurality of first comparison regions on the N standard images and calculates the respective brightness standard value of each first comparison region. The brightness and color testing specifications of the standard product are determined through human eye sensitivity experiments, and then fine-tuned by the optical R&D personnel of the product 2 with light emission function according to the production situation.

[0022] At least one image capturing device 12 captures N first images of the product 2 with light emission function to be inspected. To reiterate, when at least one image capturing device 12 captures N first images of the product 2 with light emission function to be inspected, external light does not enter the light-shielding chamber 10 to interfere with at least one image capturing device 12.

[0023] The data processing device 16 receives N first images to be detected and defines a plurality of second comparison regions on each of the N images. Each second comparison region corresponds to a first comparison region. The data processing device 16 calculates the luminance value to be detected for each second comparison region and calculates the luminance ratio between the luminance value to be detected for each second comparison region and the standard luminance value of its corresponding first comparison region. The data processing device 16 determines whether the luminance ratio for each second comparison region falls within the specified range. If the luminance ratio for each second comparison region falls within the specified range, the data processing device 16 determines that the luminance value to be detected for that second comparison region is acceptable. If the luminance ratio for each second comparison region does not fall within the specified range, the data processing device 16 determines that the luminance value to be detected for that second comparison region is unacceptable.

[0024] In one specific embodiment, the data processing device 16 converts N standard images into N standard grayscale images, and then calculates the standard brightness value of each first comparison region using an effective pixel overlay method. The data processing device 16 also converts N first images to be detected into N grayscale images to be detected, and then calculates the brightness value to be detected for each second comparison region using an effective pixel overlay method.

[0025] In one specific embodiment, the ratio can range from 80% to 120%.

[0026] The data processing device 16 defines a plurality of third comparison regions on N standard images. The data processing device 16 also defines a plurality of fourth comparison regions on N first images to be inspected. Each fourth comparison region corresponds to one third comparison region. The data processing device 16 calculates the color difference value between each fourth comparison region and its corresponding third comparison region. The data processing device 16 determines whether the color difference value for each fourth comparison region is equal to or less than a color difference threshold value. If the color difference value for each fourth comparison region is equal to or less than the color difference threshold value, the data processing device 16 determines that the color difference value of that fourth comparison region is acceptable. If the color difference value for each fourth comparison region is greater than the color difference threshold value, the data processing device 16 determines that the color difference value of that fourth comparison region is unacceptable.

[0027] In one specific embodiment, the color difference threshold value can be equal to 6%.

[0028] In one specific embodiment, the data processing device 16 can calculate the color difference value between each fourth alignment region and its corresponding third alignment region according to the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) color difference (ΔRGB) calculation formula. The CIE color difference (ΔRGB) calculation formula is as follows:

[0029] Formula 1.

[0030] Please refer to Figure 2. Figure 2 shows a first image to be tested captured by the detection system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention when testing an illuminated keyboard. The first image to be tested shown in Figure 2 is marked with second comparison areas defined by the data processing device 16 (white boxes in Figure 2) and with the brightness ratio calculated by the data processing device 16 for each second comparison area. The first image to be tested shown in Figure 2 clearly shows the brightness ratios of the second comparison areas for the strings "TAB", "SHIFT", and "CPAS" that are not up to standard.

[0031] Furthermore, please refer to Figure 3, which schematically illustrates a variation of the detection system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention and the tested product 3 with light-emitting function. In the example shown in Figure 3, the product 3 with light-emitting function is represented by a luminous mouse. Such a luminous mouse has multiple light sources disposed at different angular positions on its housing. The brightness and color of the multiple light sources of the luminous mouse must be detected. In Figure 3, only one image capturing device 12 is shown as a representative example.

[0032] As shown in Figure 3, the detection system 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention further includes a tilt adjustment seat 18 and M adjustable reflective devices 19, where M is a second natural number. To clearly depict the tilt adjustment seat 18 and the M adjustable reflective devices 19, in Figure 3, only the top 102 and bottom 104 of the light-shielding chamber 10 are shown. The product 3 with light-emitting function has a first light-emitting part 32 and M second light-emitting parts 34. The tilt adjustment seat 18 is fixed to the detection seat 14. The product 3 with light-emitting function is placed on the tilt adjustment seat 18. The tilt adjustment seat 18 is used to adjust the tilt angle of the product 3 with light-emitting function relative to the detection seat 14 so that the first light-emitting part 32 faces at least one image capturing device 12. The tilt adjustment seat 18 is also used to adjust the first optical path op1 of the first light emitted by the first light-emitting part 32 to the at least one image capturing device 12. The M adjustable reflective devices 19 are fixed to the detection seat 14. Each adjustable reflective device 19 corresponds to one second light-emitting part 34. Each adjustable reflector 19 is positioned relative to its corresponding second light-emitting part 34. Each adjustable reflector 19 includes its own reflector 192. Each adjustable reflector adjusts its reflector 192 such that the second light emitted by its corresponding second light-emitting part 34 is reflected by the reflector and transmitted to at least one image capturing device 12, and their respective second optical paths op2 are the same and approximately equal to or equal to the first optical path op1.

[0033] In one specific embodiment, when the second light rays emitted by M second light-emitting units 34 are transmitted to the M second optical paths op2 of at least one image capturing device 12, which are close to the first light rays emitted by the first light-emitting unit 32 being transmitted to the first optical path op1 of at least one image capturing device 12, the at least one image capturing device 12 captures I second images to be tested about the product 3 with the light-emitting function at a first focal length, where I is a third natural number. The first focal length corresponds to the first light-emitting unit 32. The at least one image capturing device 12 captures J third images to be tested about the product 3 with the light-emitting function at a second focal length, where J is a fourth natural number. The second focal length corresponds to the second light-emitting unit 34. The I second images to be tested and the J third images to be tested together constitute N first images to be tested.

[0034] From the detailed description of the present invention above, it is clear that the detection system according to the present invention can not only detect the brightness and color of various luminescent products, but also has the advantages of high accuracy and high detection efficiency.
