Abstract

An electrical connector, a mating electrical connector, and an electrical connector assembly are disclosed. The electrical connector includes a housing and conductive terminals. The housing includes: a base having a plurality of terminal channels extending from the rear surface of the base to its front surface, wherein conductive terminals are disposed in the terminal channels and protrude from the front surface of the base to form contact ends; and a guide extending forward from the front surface of the base to form mating ends, wherein the distance between the mating ends and the front surface of the base is greater than the distance between the contact ends of the conductive terminals and the front surface. The guide has a side surface having a mounting groove for inserting conductive terminals and communicating with the terminal channels, such that a portion of the conductive terminals is disposed in the terminal channels and the other portion is disposed in the mounting groove. The guide has a spacer groove that opens toward the mating direction.
