Abstract
Claims
1. A display device for adjusting a streaming video, comprising: a first display circuit configured with a first panel rate (PR); a detection circuit coupled to the first display circuit for detecting the first panel rate and a video frame rate (VFR) of the streaming video; a determination circuit coupled to the detection circuit for determining a number of frames based on the video frame rate and the first panel rate, in response to the video frame rate not being divisible by the first panel rate and the first panel rate not being divisible by the video frame rate; and a calculation circuit coupled to the determination circuit for calculating a plurality of motion vectors for a plurality of frames in a plurality of first group of pictures (GOPs) of the streaming video. The computational circuit includes a vector (MV), and selects at least one frame from the plurality of frames based on the plurality of motion vectors and the number of frames; and a processing circuit coupled to the computational circuit to repeat or omit the at least one frame in the plurality of first image groups to generate a plurality of second image groups; wherein the step of the processing circuit repeating or omitting the at least one first frame in the plurality of first image groups to generate the plurality of second image groups includes: in the plurality of first image groups, the processing circuit omitting the at least one frame to respond that the image frame rate is greater than the first screen refresh rate.
2. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first display circuitry displays the streaming image according to the plurality of second image groups.
3. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the number of frames is a difference between the image frame rate and the first screen refresh rate, in response to the image frame rate being greater than the first screen refresh rate.
4. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the number of frames is a difference between the first screen refresh rate and the image frame rate, in response to the first screen refresh rate being greater than the image frame rate.
5. The display device of claim 1, wherein the determining circuit determines a quotient based on the image frame rate and the first screen refresh rate to respond to whether the image frame rate is divisible by the first screen refresh rate or the first screen refresh rate is divisible by the image frame rate.
6. The display device as claimed in claim 5, further comprising: an adjustment circuit coupled to the determining circuit, configured to: reduce a video output rate (VO rate) according to the quotient to respond to the video frame rate being divisible by the first screen refresh rate; and increase the video output rate according to the quotient to respond to the first screen refresh rate being divisible by the video frame rate.
7. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein in the plurality of first image groups, the processing circuit repeats the at least one frame to respond that the first screen refresh rate is greater than the image frame rate.
8. The display device as claimed in claim 1, further comprising: a second display circuit coupled to the detection circuit, configured with a second screen refresh rate, wherein the second screen refresh rate is different from the first screen refresh rate.
9. A method for adjusting a streaming video, comprising: detecting a panel rate (PR) and a video frame rate (VFR) of the streaming video; determining a number of frames based on the video frame rate and the panel rate, in response to the video frame rate not being divisible by the panel rate and the panel rate not being divisible by the video frame rate; calculating a plurality of motion vectors (MVs) of a plurality of frames in a plurality of first groups of pictures (GOPs) of the streaming video, and selecting at least one frame from the plurality of frames based on the plurality of motion vectors and the number of frames; and repeating or omitting the at least one frame in the plurality of first groups of pictures to generate a plurality of second groups of pictures; The step of repeating or omitting at least one first frame in the plurality of first image groups to generate the plurality of second image groups includes: in the plurality of first image groups, the processing circuit omits at least one frame to respond that the image frame rate is greater than the first screen refresh rate.
