Abstract
A method of timing advance (TA) acquisition and a user equipment are provided. The method includes: receiving a cell switch configuration comprising at least one candidate cell configuration; receiving a TA command associated with one of the at least one candidate cell configuration; storing a TA value in the TA command for the one of the at least one candidate cell configuration; and starting a TA timer associated with the one of the at least one candidate cell configuration.
