Abstract

An animal containment system for use in a vehicle is disclosed. The animal containment system includes a base configured to be affixed to a vehicle seat and an animal containment device configured to removably attach to the base. The base includes a first connector, and the animal containment device includes a second connector configured to removably attach to the first connector of the base. The animal containment system further includes a latch mechanism configured to retain the first connector and the second connector attached together. The animal containment system further includes a release mechanism configured to selectively release the latch mechanism.
