Abstract

The purpose of this invention is to provide a coating apparatus capable of applying a film-forming liquid with high precision to the side of workpieces of various shapes. The coating apparatus 10 applies the film-forming liquid to the side of a workpiece 2 and includes a coating unit 20, a moving mechanism 30, a worktable 40, and a coating control unit 50. The coating unit 20 includes a coating roller 21, a drive unit 22, and a liquid ejection unit 23. The coating control unit 50 has the function of controlling the rotation of the coating roller 21 via the drive unit 22, the ejection of the film-forming liquid via the liquid ejection unit 23, and the movement of the coating unit 20 relative to the workpiece 2 while the outer peripheral surface of the coating roller 21 contacts or approaches the side of the workpiece 21 via the moving mechanism 30. An object of the present invention is to provide an application apparatus capable of accurately applying a film forming liquid to the side surfaces of workpieces having various shapes. An application apparatus 10 applies the film forming liquid to the side surfaces of a workpiece 2, and comprises an application unit 20, a movement mechanism 30, a table 40, and an application control unit 50. The application unit 20 includes an application roller 21, a drive unit 22, and a liquid discharge unit 23. The application control unit 50 has a function for controlling the rotation operation of the application roller 21 by the drive unit 22, the discharge operation of film forming liquid by the liquid discharge unit 23, and the operation of moving the application unit 20 relative to the workpiece 2 while bringing the outer circumferential surface of the application roller 21 into contact with or close to the side surface of the workpiece 2 by the movement mechanism 30.
