Abstract

This invention provides a binding device that can determine the three-dimensional position of intersections, even in the case of a bundled object containing multiple reinforcing bars in a three-dimensional assembly. The binding device includes a binding section, multiple retaining fixtures, and a full-view camera. The binding section binds the workpiece containing the intersections of main reinforcing bars and stirrups. The multiple retaining fixtures include a position information recognition unit that identifies the position of the intersection of the main reinforcing bars and stirrups and is positioned around the workpiece. The full-view camera captures images of the position information recognition unit. Based on the position information of the retaining fixtures obtained from the position information recognition unit captured by the full-view camera, the position information of the intersection of the main reinforcing bars and stirrups is determined.
