The objective of this invention is to provide a purification method for N-vinylcarboxylate that is easy to manage and low in cost. The solution of this invention is a method for purifying N-vinylcarboxylate, characterized in that the method for producing purified N-vinylcarboxylate from crude N-vinylcarboxylate includes an alkali addition step and a distillation step, wherein the alkali addition step involves adding an alkali to the crude N-vinylcarboxylate.
