Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a process for preparing lanifibranor comprising: a) reacting 5-chloroindole with t-butyl 4-bromobutyrate in a solvent; b) reacting the compound obtained in step a) with 1,3-benzothiazole-6-sulfonyl chloride in a solvent; and c) deprotecting the ester group of the compound obtained in step b).
