Abstract

The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a wound electrode body (14) having a positive electrode and a negative electrode (12), and at least one piece of adhesive tape (40, 41) attached to the outermost peripheral surface of the electrode body (14). The negative electrode core (35) of the negative electrode is located on the outermost peripheral surface of the electrode body (14), and the negative electrode core (35) contacts the inner peripheral surface of the casing body. The adhesive tape (40, 41) is rectangular in shape when stretched along a plane, and at least one end edge (42) is non-linear.
