Abstract

A clothes dryer is provided to suppress the reduction of drying performance. The clothes dryer disclosed herein includes: a housing; a receiving tank for receiving an object; an air supply device for supplying air into the receiving tank; a trapping device for trapping foreign objects from the air passing through the receiving tank; an air flow path connecting the air supply device, the receiving tank, and the trapping device, the trapping device having: an inlet portion extending from an air intake communicating with the receiving tank; a swirling portion having an opening communicating with the inlet portion and generating a swirling flow from the inflowing air; and a first mesh portion and a second mesh portion disposed downstream of the swirling portion, each having a cylindrical shape, the first mesh portion and the second mesh portion being arranged such that their circumferential surfaces are adjacent to each other, and each having mesh openings in at least a portion of the adjacent circumferential surfaces, the swirling direction of the swirling flow in the first mesh portion and the swirling direction of the swirling flow in the second mesh portion being different from each other.
