Abstract

A dryer is provided to suppress the reduction of drying performance. The dryer disclosed herein includes: a housing; a receiving tank for receiving an object; an air supply device for supplying air into the receiving tank; a trapping device for trapping foreign objects from the air that has passed through the receiving tank; and an airflow path connecting the air supply device, the receiving tank, and the trapping device, the trapping device having: an inlet portion extending from an air intake port communicating with the receiving tank; a swirling portion communicating with the inlet portion and swirling the inflowing air while it is being conveyed in a first direction; a mesh portion disposed downstream of the swirling portion, having a cylindrical shape extending in the first direction, and having mesh openings in at least a portion for air to flow out from the inside to the outside of the cylindrical shape; and an airflow member surrounding the outer periphery of the mesh portion and having an exhaust port communicating with a rotating drum, the exhaust port of the airflow member being disposed at a position away from the periphery of the mesh portion in the first direction.
