Mouth portion inspection device and mouth portion inspection method

Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a mouth inspection device and a mouth inspection method capable of determining whether a threaded portion formed in the mouth of a container has a defect including poor production. The means to solve this problem is a mouth inspection device (10) comprising: a rotating part (12) for rotating a container (80) around a central axis (81) of the mouth (82); an imaging part (40) for capturing images of the mouth (82) rotating by the rotating part (12) from the inside; and a calculation part (22) for determining whether a defect exists in the threaded portion (87) of the mouth (82) based on the image captured by the imaging part (40). The calculation part (22) sets a first inspection area having a predetermined width along the central axis (81) in the image; calculates the length of a fourth portion that is continuous along the direction of the central axis (81) in the first inspection area and has a predetermined brightness or higher; and determines that a defect exists when the calculated length of the fourth portion is longer than a predetermined first threshold.
