Abstract

The present invention discloses a method for performing a competitive assay on a piezoelectric material, wherein the piezoelectric material has a propagation signal, a sensing area and at least one first binding molecule immobilized on the sensing area. The method includes the steps of applying at least one bio-molecule and at least one second binding molecule on the sensing area, wherein a first binding relationship is established between the at least one bio-molecule and either one of the at least one first binding molecule and the at least one second binding molecule, and a second binding relationship is established between the at least one first binding molecule and the at least one second binding molecule, causing a characteristic parameter change of the propagation signal based on a competition result of the first binding relationship and the second binding relationship, and detecting a parameter of the at least one bio-molecule according to the characteristic parameter change.
