Abstract
A solid-state drive (SSD) includes a power unit, a storage unit, a control unit, and a monitoring unit. The storage unit stores a normal function program and an anomaly repair program. When a control signal corresponds to a normal mode, the control unit reads and executes the normal function program, and outputs a heartbeat signal at predetermined time intervals. When the control signal corresponds to an anomaly mode, the control unit reads the anomaly repair program and performs self-repair. The monitoring unit first outputs the control signal corresponding to the normal mode, and if it does not receive the heartbeat signal after the predetermined time, it restarts the control unit and outputs the control signal corresponding to the anomaly mode. This invention can automatically identify anomalies and self-repair, reducing maintenance difficulty and cost.
