Abstract

An electronic device is provided, which includes a cholesteric liquid crystal (ChLC) display panel and a driving circuit. The driving circuit is configured to drive the ChLC display panel to render a first image. In response to a timer, which is activated upon completion of rendering of the first image, reaching a predetermined time, the driving circuit is configured to perform an image de-sticking process for one or more iterations on the ChLC display panel to reset a screen of the ChLC display panel, and drive the ChLC panel to render the first image again.
