Method for manufacturing axial flux core

Abstract

A method for manufacturing an axial flux core is provided. In this method, a steel sheet is wound to form a steel coil. The steel coil includes plural superposed layers of the steel sheet along a radial direction of the steel coil. A surface of the steel sheet is covered with a self-bonding coating. Winding the steel sheet includes performing a pressurizing treatment on the layers of the steel sheet by using a winding tension of winding the steel sheet. A heat treatment is performed on the steel coil to activate the self-bonding coating, so as to bond any adjacent two of the layers of the steel coil. A cutting operation is performed to cut the steel coil along the radial direction of the steel coil so as to separate the steel coil into several yokeless axial flux cores.
