Abstract
This invention provides a lighting system and control method, relating to the field of lighting. The lighting system includes: a main controller; a main transcoder connected to the main controller; the main controller outputs a first signal, and the main transcoder converts the first signal into a second signal; the main transcoder is connected to multiple slave transcoders in parallel, each slave transcoder being connected to a set of LED strings, the set of LED strings having multiple LEDs connected in series; the slave transcoders convert the second signal into a third signal and send the third signal to the set of LED strings to which they are connected; the slave transcoders are also used to receive a fourth signal returned from the set of LED strings to which they are connected, and to convert the fourth signal into a fifth signal and send the fifth signal to the main transcoder; the main transcoder is further used to convert the fifth signal into a sixth signal and send the sixth signal to the main controller. This invention, by providing a parallel master-slave transcoder architecture, can achieve improved signal control and feedback speed for LEDs, and avoid the risk of series failure.
