Abstract

A display device with a wide-range critical voltage correction function is provided. In this display device, the driving transistor for the light-emitting device is a p-channel transistor, which discharges along the source-drain path while a constant voltage is supplied to the gate, extracting Vth between the gate and source. Furthermore, by ensuring that the drain potential is the sum of the positive voltage of the light-emitting device and the cathode potential, or a sufficiently low potential, discharge can continue even when Vth is a positive voltage. That is, correction can be performed even if Vth deviates within the range of positive to negative voltage.
