Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] This invention relates to a standing aid device, and more particularly to a standing aid device that can prevent the user from leaning forward. [Previous Technology]
[0002] Existing standing aids are primarily designed to assist users with limited mobility or the elderly to rise from a sitting to a standing position. However, many commercially available standing aids suffer from the following problems: First, the seat tilts too high, potentially causing the user to slip due to instability, increasing the likelihood of a fall. Second, the devices require high initial thrust, typically necessitating significant power output. This not only consumes more energy but also increases the overall size and weight of the product, hindering ease of use. Furthermore, existing devices fail to provide an optimal ergonomic support angle, further reducing their effectiveness in assisting standing.
[0003] Therefore, there is still significant room for improvement in the existing technology in terms of safety, stability and ease of operation. Effective design optimization is urgently needed to address the above issues in order to meet the higher demands of users with mobility impairments for assistive devices for getting up. [Summary of the Invention]

The lengths of the first driven rod and the second driven rod are equal or similar. The side frame serves as a fixed axis and has the longest length.
[0014] The number of at least one set of drive mechanisms is two.
Implementation Method
[0015] The directional descriptions such as "front," "back," "up," "down," "left," and "right" used in this document are for ease of understanding only. This invention is not limited to these directions and can be adjusted according to actual circumstances. In this invention, the Y direction is used as the up-down direction, the X direction as the left-right direction, and the Z direction as the front-back direction.
[0016] To clearly illustrate the specific embodiments, structure, and effects achieved by the present invention, embodiments are provided and described in conjunction with the drawings as follows:
[0017] Please refer to Figures 1 and 2, which illustrate a standing assistance device, comprising a seat cushion 12 disposed on a base 11. The base 11 has a left frame 111 and a right frame 112, and two sets of drive mechanisms are respectively installed on the left frame 111 and the right frame 112. This invention is applicable to homes, medical and nursing facilities, etc., providing users with stable and safe assistance functions. It should be noted that the seat cushion 12 can be a chair cushion or a toilet seat. In the embodiment of this invention, a toilet seat is used as an example for illustration, but it is not limited thereto.
[0018] Each drive mechanism includes a pivot seat 21, a driven component 22, and a power source 23. The pivot seat 21 is disposed on one of the left or right sides of the seat cushion 12 and serves as a coupling rod. It has a support rod mounting portion 211 and a driven rod mounting portion 212. The driven rod mounting portion 212 is vertically parallel to the side frame on the same side (i.e., the driven rod mounting portion 212 of the pivot seat 21 on the left side is vertically parallel to the left frame 111, and the driven rod mounting portion 212 of the pivot seat 21 on the right side is vertically parallel to the right frame 112). A seat cushion support rod 16 is disposed on the support rod mounting portion 211. The seat cushion support rod 16 is used to support the seat cushion 12. The direction of the seat cushion support rod 16 is parallel to the Z direction to ensure structural stability and smooth movement trajectory. The pivot seat 21 is located on the front side of the bottom of the base 11.
[0019] The driven assembly 22 includes a first driven rod 221 and a second driven rod 222. One end of the first driven rod 221 and the second driven rod 222 are pivotally mounted on the side frame on the same side, and the other end is pivotally mounted on the driven rod mounting part 212 on the same side. Through the coordinated operation of the first driven rod 221 and the second driven rod 222, the seat cushion 12 is kept stable during the flipping process, reducing vibration or displacement, and improving the smoothness of the overall movement and the durability of the structure. The coupling rod, the two driven rods 221 and 222, the left frame 111 and the right frame 112 form a four-bar linkage mechanism, wherein the coupling rod is the shortest rod, the two driven rods 221 and 222 are of equal or similar length, and the left frame 111 and the right frame 112 serve as fixed axes and are the longest.
[0020] The two power sources 23 of the two sets of drive mechanisms are spaced apart below the seat cushion 12. Each power source 23 is an electric cylinder with an output shaft 231 as a drive rod. The drive rod is used to directly push the seat cushion 12, changing it from a sitting position to a standing position. This design can effectively reduce the thrust required for the mechanism's movement and further improve the device's operating efficiency. In this embodiment, the drive rod applies force to the middle or rear side of the bottom surface of the seat cushion 12 or the base 11.
[0021] The base 11 also includes two front and rear connecting rods 113 spaced apart. The two front and rear connecting rods 113 are used to connect a front crossbar 13 and a rear crossbar 14 to strengthen the structural strength of the base 11. Each of the two front and rear connecting rods 113 is provided with a urinal mounting part 113A for jointly mounting a urinal 15.
[0022] Under the aforementioned structural conditions, a small electric cylinder can be used as the power source 23. In the embodiment of the present invention, the electric cylinder has a stroke of 150 mm and a speed of 18 mm / sec, and the time required to move the seat cushion 12 from a sitting position to a standing position is only 8.33 seconds. Referring to Figure 3, the initial thrust of the electric cylinder is up to 2567.01 Newtons (N), and the required thrust gradually decreases, finally requiring only about 1007.23 Newtons (N). This effectively reduces the initial thrust requirement and overcomes the problem of excessive device size caused by excessive power requirements in the prior art.
[0023] Please refer to Figures 4 and 5. When the seat cushion 12 is in a standing position, there is a first angle θ1 between the seat cushion 12 and a Z-axis Z1. The first angle θ1 is between 50 degrees and 60 degrees, preferably 53.41 degrees. The embodiments of the present invention achieve an ideal center of gravity transfer angle, which is ergonomic, allowing the seat cushion 12 to fit snugly against the thighs when standing, effectively avoiding the risk of the user leaning forward, and improving the safety and comfort of the standing assistance device.
[0024] Please refer to Figure 6 for the second embodiment of the present invention. In the second embodiment, the base 11 is provided with two armrest frames 31 and a backrest frame 32. The two ends of the backrest frame 32 are respectively pivotally connected to the seat cushion support rods 16 on the left and right sides. The two armrest frames 31 are respectively arranged on the left and right sides of the base 11. Each armrest frame 31 has a first armrest 311, a second armrest 312 and a third armrest 313. One end of the first armrest 311 is pivotally connected to the pivot seat 21, and the other end is pivotally connected to the second armrest 312. The other end of the second armrest 312 is pivotally connected to the backrest frame 32. The two ends of the third armrest 313 are respectively pivotally connected to the first armrest 311 and the side frame on the same side.
[0025] By setting up the armrest frame 31 and the backrest frame 32, the user is provided with the support and stability required during use, thereby improving safety and practicality. In addition, a chair cover (not shown) can be fitted onto the backrest frame 32 to increase comfort during use and reduce discomfort caused by contact.
[0026] Referring to Figure 7, in the second embodiment, the backrest frame 32 has a second included angle θ2 with a Y-axis Y1. When the seat cushion 12 is in the sitting position, the second included angle θ2 is between 8 degrees and 12 degrees; when the seat cushion 12 is in the standing position, the second included angle θ2 is between 2 degrees and 4 degrees. Preferably, when the seat cushion 12 is in the sitting position, the second included angle θ2 is 10 degrees; when the seat cushion 12 is in the standing position, the second included angle θ2 is 2.82 degrees. Referring to Figure 8, the process of changing from the sitting position to the standing position takes only 8.33 seconds, and the angular displacement of the backrest frame 32 is only 7.18 degrees. This not only conforms to ergonomics, but also ensures that the overall structure maintains a stable and smooth movement trajectory during operation, reducing instability that may be caused by excessive angle changes and improving safety.
[0027] This invention achieves an ideal center of gravity transfer angle through optimized structural design, allowing the seat cushion 12 to fit snugly against the thighs when standing, thus avoiding the risk of the user leaning forward. Simultaneously, the use of a small electric cylinder as the power source 23 effectively reduces the initial thrust requirement, further improving safety and operational efficiency.
