Lyophilization cassette

Abstract

The present disclosure provides a cassette for housing a plurality of flexible bags and / or semi-rigid containers in a freeze dryer. The flexible bags and semi-rigid containers include a chamber holding a pharmaceutical product that is lyophilized by the freeze dryer. The cassette includes a frame and a plurality of partition walls disposed within the frame. The cassette includes a plurality of compartments disposed within the frame and separated by the plurality of partition walls. Each of the compartments receives a respective flexible bag and / or semi-rigid container. The cassette includes a plurality of stands disposed in the plurality of compartments. Each stand upholds a chamber of a respective flexible bag or semi-rigid container at a tilted position such that the chamber of the respective flexible bag or semi-rigid container is oriented in a vertical direction with respect to a base of the frame.
