Abstract

The object of this invention is to provide a straddle-type vehicle that extends the period during which fuel injection is suspended by the injector when decelerating, while appropriately responding to the rider's wishes, thereby suppressing rider discomfort. According to one embodiment of the straddle-type vehicle of the invention, whenever the rider intends to decelerate or stop, the injector continues to suspend fuel injection. Therefore, the period during which fuel injection is suspended can be extended, and after the suspended fuel injection is resumed, the inertial motion at idle continues at least until the straddle-type vehicle comes to a stop. Thus, it can handle both situations where the rider stops immediately after deceleration (according to the rider's intention to stop) and situations where deceleration stops and the vehicle continues to move (according to the rider's driving intention or driving request). It can appropriately respond to the rider's wishes.
