Method for manufacturing N-vinylacetamide

Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a method for manufacturing N-vinylacetamide that is lossless and inexpensive. A method for manufacturing N-vinylacetamide, using acetamide and vinyl acetate as raw materials and employing a catalyst, is characterized by sequentially comprising: a step of synthesizing N-vinylacetamide; a step of distilling off residual low-boiling substances; a step of extracting N-vinylacetamide; a step of distilling off aldehydes from the residue after separating N-vinylacetamide; a step of adding alkali to the distilled residue; a purification step of separating the catalyst; and a drying step of recovering the catalyst.
