Abstract

An adhesive, used as an electrode component in a non-aqueous secondary battery, is described in which, when an operation comprising steps 1 and 2 is repeated 450 times, the stress measured 4.5 seconds after the start of step 1 in the 450th operation is greater than 10 N / cm². Step 1 involves elongating a 25 mm long test piece containing the aforementioned adhesive to a length of 30 mm at a constant speed of 5 mm / 6 seconds, and step 2 involves shrinking the aforementioned test piece to a length of 25 mm at a constant speed of 5 mm / 6 seconds. A binder for use as a component of an electrode of a non-aqueous secondary battery, wherein when an operation consisting of the following Step 1 and Step 2 is repeated 450 times, the binder exhibits a stress of 10 N / cm² or more measured 4.5 seconds after a start of Step 1 in the 450th operation: Step 1: stretching a test piece made of the binder, having a length of 25 mm, to a length of 30 mm at a constant speed of 5 mm per 6 seconds, and Step 2: contracting the test piece to a length of 25 mm at a constant speed of 5 mm per 6 seconds.
