Epoxy resin compositions, cured products, and decomposition methods

Abstract

This invention provides an epoxy resin composition and its cured form that exhibit excellent decomposability and heat resistance, and is applicable to lamination, molding, casting, bonding, and other uses. An epoxy resin composition comprises a modified carbonate resin and an epoxy resin characterized by the following general formula (1). Here, X is a monovalent group represented by formula (2-1) or formula (2-2), and at least one molecule contains formula (2-2). Y is a divalent group. n1 is the average number of repetitions, and is 0 or more and 500 or less. n2 is the average number of repetitions, and is 0 or more and 6 or less.
