Abstract

This invention relates to an alkenyl cyclic silicate derivative, characterized in that it is an addition reaction product of (i) an organosilicone compound of general formula (1) below and (ii) an alkenyl cyclic silicate of general formula (2) below. Accordingly, this invention provides an organomodified silicate that is safe, easy to manufacture, has low viscosity, and when used in curable compositions, imparts excellent hardness and light transmittance in the short wavelength range to the cured composition.
