Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to wind power generation equipment, and in particular to a blade structure for a wind turbine. Prior Technology
[0002] With the rise of environmental and sustainability awareness, equipment that generates electricity from natural resources is becoming increasingly widely used, among which wind power has always been an important source of electricity. Based on the current operating modes of existing wind power equipment, wind power can be broadly divided into two types: vertical axis wind power and horizontal axis wind power. Vertical axis refers to wind turbines whose blades are perpendicular to the ground, while horizontal axis refers to wind turbines whose blades are horizontal or parallel to the ground. Both types of wind power have their own advantages and disadvantages.
[0003] Among these, vertical axis wind turbines can be propelled even in low wind conditions, and the load on the rotating shaft is less than that of horizontal axis turbines. However, if the blades of a vertical axis wind turbine are fixed, meaning the blade angle cannot change with the wind direction, then under constant wind conditions, such as when installed on a coastline where the wind blows from the sea towards the shore, the blade with the largest windward surface will become the blade with the largest windward surface facing the wind after rotating 180 degrees to the opposite direction. This will affect the smoothness of the blade rotation and the efficiency of power generation. Summary of the Invention
[0004] The main objective of this invention is to provide a wind turbine blade structure that can autonomously change the blade angle, enabling the blades to quickly switch between horizontal and vertical angles with the wind direction to obtain the maximum rotational wind energy.
[0005] To achieve the aforementioned main objectives, the wind turbine blade structure of the present invention includes: a column with a rotating shaft on it; and a blade assembly pivotally mounted on the rotating shaft of the column. The blade assembly includes: a plurality of support rods, one end of each support rod being connected to the rotating shaft, and the other end of each support rod having a blade assembly. Each blade assembly includes: a main plate portion and a first guide plate portion. The main plate portion is pivotally mounted on the support rod and can rotate relative to the support rod. The surface of the main plate portion has a normal vector, and the surface of the first guide plate portion also has a normal vector. An angle θ is formed between the normal vector of the main plate portion and the normal vector of the first guide plate portion, and the angle θ is between 5 and 65 degrees.
[0006] The blade structure of the wind turbine of the present invention, as described above, can autonomously change the blade angle by utilizing the airflow without the need for external power, thereby improving the smoothness of the wind turbine blade rotation and increasing the power generation efficiency. [0008] The applicant hereby clarifies that, in this specification, including the embodiments described below and the claims in the claims, all directional terms are based on the directions shown in the drawings. Secondly, in the embodiments and drawings to be described below, the same element reference numerals represent the same or similar elements or their structural features, and the directions referred to in the specification are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to be limiting.
[0009] Please refer to Figures 1 to 4, which show the blade structure of a wind turbine generator according to the first embodiment of the present invention, comprising:
[0010] A column 10 is used to be erected on a base, such as on the ground or a pedestal. The column is provided with a pivot 11, the axis of which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the column 10.
[0011] A blade assembly 20 is pivotally mounted on the rotating shaft 11 of the column. The blade assembly 20 includes a plurality of support rods 21. In this embodiment, four support rods are used for illustration, but this is not a limitation. One end of each support rod 21 is connected to the rotating shaft 11, and the other end is respectively provided with a blade assembly 30. Each blade assembly 30 includes a main plate portion 31 and a first guide plate portion 32. Each main plate portion 31 is pivotally mounted on its corresponding support rod 21 and can be rotated relative to the support rod 21. The plate surface of the main plate portion 31 has a normal vector L1.
[0012] The first guide plate portion 32 is connected and fixed to one side of the main plate portion 31 via a connecting rod 34, the axis of which is substantially perpendicular to the axis of the support rod 21. The first guide plate portion 32 has a normal vector L2. The first guide plate portion 32 rotates about the connecting rod 34 as the center of rotation, deflecting at an angle relative to the main plate portion 31, such that an angle θ is formed between the normal vector L1 of the main plate portion 31 and the normal vector L2 of the first guide plate portion 32. This angle θ is between 5 and 65 degrees, with an optimal angle of 15 to 45 degrees. The position of the first guide plate portion 32, defined by the direction of the long axis of the support rod 21, is located on either side of the axial direction of the support rod 21, rather than along its axial extension direction. Furthermore, in order to balance the weight of the main board part 31 on both sides of the support rod 21 and facilitate the flipping of the main board part 31, the width of the main board part 31 on both sides of the support rod 21 is preferably about the same, that is, the support rod 21 is preferably located in the middle of the left and right sides of the main board part 31, and the area of the first guide plate part 32 is preferably less than or equal to the area of the main board part 31.
[0013] Based on the above structure, this invention is also designed for outdoor use. For ease of explanation, the directions defined below refer to the directions shown in Figure 3, which are up, down, left, and right. The four blade groups 30 of the fan blade assembly 20 are respectively positioned at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, and 9 o'clock in the figure. Assuming that the wind direction is from bottom to top, the tilt of the first guide plate 32 will generate a diagonal force when exposed to the wind. In this state, the first guide plate 32 of the blade group at the 6 o'clock position will be pushed up by the wind force, causing the end of the main plate 31 with the first guide plate 32 to be lifted upwards. This allows the main plate 31 to rotate relative to the support rod 21, turning it from its current horizontal state to a vertical state. When the blade group 30 rotates to the 9 o'clock position, because the main plate 31 is now in an upright state, its wind-receiving area can be maximized to rotate the fan blade assembly 20. When the blade assembly 30 continues to rotate to the 12 o'clock position, due to the guidance of the wind, the force of the first guide plate 32 will cause the main plate 31 to flip downwards, allowing it to fall down and return to a horizontal state. Then, as the blade assembly 30 rotates to the 3 o'clock position, because the main plate 31 is now in a flat position, the wind-receiving area can be significantly reduced. This prevents the blade assemblies at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions from having the same wind-receiving area when facing the same wind direction, thus avoiding the problem of affecting the rotation of the blade assembly. In this way, the blade structure of the wind turbine of the present invention can autonomously adjust the angle of the main plate according to the wind direction, improving the shortcomings of the fixed blades of traditional wind turbines and enhancing the power generation efficiency.
[0014] It should also be noted that how the rotational kinetic energy of the fan blade assembly 20 is connected to the generator set is not the focus of this invention, therefore, this connection structure will not be explained further in this invention. In order to prevent the main board 31 from rotating at an excessively large angle or without restriction, this invention provides a horizontal stop 22 and a vertical stop 23 on each support rod. The horizontal stop 22 can support the main board 31 when it is lying flat, while the vertical stop 23 can prevent the main board 31 from overturning when it is flipped upwards to an upright position.
[0015] As shown in Figures 5-7, this is the second embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, the structure of the present invention is the same as that of the previous embodiment, but in this embodiment, each blade group 30 is further provided with a second guide plate portion 33.
[0016] The second guide plate portion 33 is connected to one side of the main plate portion 31 via a connecting rod 34 and is located on opposite sides of the main plate portion 31, as well as the first guide plate portion 32. Since the first guide plate portion 32 and the second guide plate portion 33 are located on opposite sides of the main plate portion 31 and also on opposite sides of the support rod 21, the inclination direction of the second guide plate portion 33 relative to the main plate portion 31 is opposite to that of the first guide plate portion 32.
[0017] Taking the blade assembly 30 located at position 6 o'clock in Figure 6 as an example, if the surface of the main plate 31 is taken as a reference plane, the first guide plate 32 rises at the lower end and falls at the upper end, while the second guide plate 33 has the opposite tilt direction, with the lower end falling and the upper end rising. This structure allows the main plate to be guided by the wind direction on both sides at the same time, making it easier for the main plate to quickly flip due to the influence of wind.
[0018] As shown in Figure 8, this is a set of blade groups 30 according to the third embodiment of the present invention. The structure of the column 10 and the fan blade group 20 in this embodiment is the same as that in the first embodiment. It should be noted in this embodiment that the combination of each blade group 30 in the fan blade group is not limited to one main board part 31 being matched with one first guide plate part 32. Two first guide plate parts 32 or more guide plate parts can also be provided on one side of the main board part 31. These guide plate parts are also connected to the main board part 31 through a connecting rod 34. The number of these parts can be set according to the size of the main board part and the actual needs.
