Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] This disclosure relates to the field of liquid cooling heat dissipation, and more particularly to a dual-pump liquid cooling device. [Previous Technology]

[0002] In a liquid cooling system, the coolant is sealed and filled in a closed loop and circulates. The coolant is used as a medium to carry the heat from the heat source to the heat dissipation point for cooling. Therefore, pumps are mostly used in liquid cooling systems to drive the flow of coolant. The faster the flow rate of the coolant, the better the heat dissipation efficiency of the entire liquid cooling system.

[0003] However, as electronic technology moves towards thinner and more efficient designs, the amount of heat generated also increases significantly. A single-pump cooling system has a limited capacity to drive the coolant flow, resulting in insufficient heat dissipation efficiency. Furthermore, to accommodate thinner designs, the overall volume of the liquid cooling system is reduced, leading to a decrease in coolant capacity. This can cause insufficient coolant after a period of use due to evaporation or leakage, thus affecting the operation of the liquid cooling system.

[0004] In view of this, the discloser has devoted himself to researching and applying theoretical principles to address the shortcomings of the prior art, and has made every effort to solve the above-mentioned problems, which has become the target of the discloser's improvement. [Summary of the Invention]

[0005] The main purpose of this disclosure is to effectively increase the flow rate of coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency and avoid insufficient coolant due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use.

[0006] To achieve the above objectives, this disclosure provides a dual-pump liquid cooling device, including a base, a pair of pumps, a partition assembly, and a base. The base includes a first seat body and a second seat body and has a pair of channels. The second seat body is disposed on the first seat body. The first seat body has a liquid outlet port and a manifold cavity. The liquid outlet port is connected to the manifold cavity. The second seat body has a liquid inlet port, a liquid collection cavity, and a pair of containers. The liquid inlet port is connected to the liquid collection cavity. Each container is arranged in parallel and is connected to the liquid collection cavity. The liquid collection cavity is completely located between the manifold cavity and the pair of containers. Each channel is configured to correspond to each container and is located on opposite sides of the liquid collection cavity. Each pump is configured to correspond to each container. The partition assembly shields the manifold cavity and has a set of through slots. The first seat body is disposed on the base, and a heat exchange cavity is formed between the partition assembly and the base. The two ends of each channel are connected to the heat exchange cavity and the corresponding container, respectively. The heat exchange cavity is connected to the manifold cavity via the set of through slots.

[0007] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the base has a plurality of fins arranged in parallel to each other, a plurality of flow channels are formed between each fin, both ends of each flow channel are connected to each channel, and each flow channel is connected to the manifold via a series of slots.

[0008] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, each fin divides the heat exchange cavity into each flow channel, a pair of flow distribution zones and a pair of flow in zones. The two ends of each flow channel are respectively connected to each flow in zone, and the two ends of each flow in zone are respectively connected to each flow distribution zone. Each flow in zone and each fin are located between each flow distribution zone, and one end of each channel that connects to the heat exchange cavity is respectively connected to each flow distribution zone.

[0009] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the location of the corresponding diversion area connected to each channel is located at the center of the diversion area.

[0010] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the partition component includes a partition plate and a guide plate, wherein the partition plate is disposed between the first base and the guide plate.

[0011] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the separating component further includes an abutment piece disposed between the guide plate and the base. The abutment piece has a pair of limiting baffles, and the guide plate has a pair of positioning baffles. Each limiting baffle is restricted to opposite sides of the guide plate, and each positioning baffle is restricted to opposite sides of the abutment piece and located between the limiting baffles.

[0012] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the second seat includes a main body and a cover plate. The main body has a liquid inlet, a liquid collection chamber and the pair of containers. The cover plate has a pair of mounting grooves. The cover plate is disposed on the main body and covers each container. Each mounting groove is configured to correspond to each container.

[0013] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, each pump includes a stator assembly and a rotor assembly, with each rotor assembly disposed in a respective receiving groove and each stator assembly disposed in a respective mounting groove.

[0014] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, each channel includes a first channel segment and a second channel segment that are interconnected. Each first channel segment is disposed in a first seat and is connected to a heat exchange cavity and a corresponding second channel segment. Each second channel segment is disposed in a second seat and is connected to a corresponding trough and a corresponding first channel segment.

[0015] In one embodiment of this disclosure, the liquid inlet and liquid outlet are located on the same side of the base.

[0016] The dual-pump liquid cooling device disclosed herein has a liquid collection chamber formed in the second body, and each pump is arranged in parallel in each tank. Therefore, after the coolant enters from the liquid inlet, it can first collect and flow in the liquid collection chamber, and then enter the heat exchange chamber in sequence through the suction force generated by each pump during operation. This can effectively increase the flow rate of coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency and avoid insufficient coolant due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use.

[0031] The detailed description and technical content of this disclosure will be explained in conjunction with the drawings below. However, the drawings are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit this disclosure.

[0032] This disclosure provides a dual-pump liquid cooling device through which a coolant can flow. Please refer to Figures 1 to 5. The dual-pump liquid cooling device disclosed herein includes a base 10, a pair of pumps 20, a partition assembly 30, and a base 40.

[0033] The base 10 includes a first base body 11 and a second base body 12. The first base body 11 is disposed on the base 40 along a vertical direction D. The second base body 12 is stacked on the first base body 11 along a vertical direction D. The first base body 11 has a liquid outlet 111 and a manifold 112. The manifold 112 is formed on the side of the first base body 11 away from the second base body 12. Specifically, the manifold 112 is formed at the bottom of the first base body 11. Referring to Figures 7 and 8, the liquid outlet 111 is disposed at the top of the first base body 11 and communicates with the manifold 112. The second base body 12 has a liquid inlet 121, a liquid collection chamber 122, and a pair of receiving grooves 123. The liquid collection chamber 122 is formed on the side of the second base body 12 adjacent to the first base body 11. Specifically, the liquid collection chamber 122 is formed at the bottom of the second base body 12. Please refer to Figures 6 and 8. The inlet port 121 is located on the side of the second base 12 and connects to the collection chamber 122. In this embodiment, the inlet port 121 and the outlet port 111 are both located on the same side of the base 10 to facilitate wiring of the pair of infusion tubes (not shown) connected to the inlet port 121 and the outlet port 111. However, in other embodiments, they may be located on opposite sides of the base 10. Each container 123 is arranged side by side on the top of the second base 12 and connects to the collection chamber 122 respectively. In other words, the inlet port 121 can connect to each container 123 via the collection chamber 122, as shown in Figure 6. Therefore, referring again to Figure 5, the collection chamber 122 is completely located between the manifold 112 and the pair of containers 123. Specifically, the manifold 112, the collection chamber 122, and the pair of containers 123 are arranged in sequence along the vertical direction D. Furthermore, the base 10 has a pair of channels 101. Each channel 101 is configured corresponding to each receiving groove 123 and located on opposite sides of the liquid collection chamber 122. Referring again to Figures 1 to 5, in this embodiment, each channel 101 is simultaneously disposed on the first base 11 and the second base 12 along the vertical direction D, and each channel 101 is disposed opposite to each other on both sides of the base 10. However, this disclosure is not limited thereto. For example, each channel 101 may also be disposed at an angle relative to the vertical direction D, or each channel 101 may also be disposed at opposite corners of the base 10.

[0034] Please refer to Figures 1, 2, 4, 5, and 9. Each pump 20 is configured corresponding to each container 123. Specifically, the second base 12 includes a main body 124 and a cover plate 125. The main body 124 has the aforementioned liquid inlet 121, liquid collection chamber 122, and the pair of containers 123. The cover plate 125 has a pair of mounting grooves 1251. The cover plate 125 is located on the side of the main body 124 away from the first base 11, and the cover plate 125 covers each container 123. Accordingly, the bottom of the liquid collection chamber 122 is covered by the first base 11, while the top of the liquid collection chamber 122 communicates with each container 123, and the top of each container 123 is covered by the cover plate 125. Each mounting groove 1251 is configured corresponding to each container 123, and each mounting groove 1251 is located on the side of the cover plate 125 away from the main body 124. In other words, each mounting slot 1251 and each receiving slot 123 are located on opposite sides of the cover plate 125. Each pump 20 includes a stator assembly 21 and a rotor assembly 22. Each rotor assembly 22 is respectively disposed in each receiving slot 123, and each stator assembly 21 is respectively disposed in each mounting slot 1251. Since the specific structure and operating principle of the pump 20 are well known to those skilled in the art, they will not be described in detail here.

[0035] Referring again to Figures 1, 2, and 5, the partition assembly 30 shields the bottom of the manifold 112. Specifically, the partition assembly 30 abuts against the base 40 and the first seat 11. A heat exchange cavity 41 is formed between the partition assembly 30 and the base 40. The two ends of each channel 101 are respectively connected to the heat exchange cavity 41 and the corresponding receiving groove 123. The partition assembly 30 has a through-slot group 301. The heat exchange cavity 41 is connected to the manifold 112 via the through-slot group 301. In this way, when the coolant enters the inlet port 121, it can be collected and converged in the collection chamber 122 of the second housing 12. Then, through the suction force generated by the operation of each pump 20, it is drawn from the collection chamber 122 into each container 123, and then enters the heat exchange chamber 41 through each channel 101. Next, it enters the confluence chamber 112 through the through-slot group 301 of the separator assembly 30, and finally exits through the outlet port 111. Therefore, the collection chamber 122 not only effectively increases the flow rate of the coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency, but also prevents insufficient coolant due to evaporation or leakage after prolonged use.

[0036] Further explanation: The base 40 has a plurality of fins 42 arranged parallel to each other. Each fin 42 is arranged parallel to each other on the side of the base 40 facing the first seat 11 and the partition assembly 30, that is, each fin 42 is arranged on the top of the base 40. A plurality of flow channels 43 are formed between each fin 42, which are parallel to each other. Both ends of each flow channel 43 are connected to each channel 101, and each flow channel 43 is connected to the manifold 112 of the first seat 11 through the through slot group 301 of the partition assembly 30. Specifically, each fin 42 divides the heat exchange chamber 41 into each flow channel 43, a pair of flow distribution areas 411 and a pair of inflow areas 412. Both ends of each flow channel 43 are respectively connected to each inflow area 412, that is, each fin 42 and each flow channel 43 are arranged perpendicularly between each inflow area 412. Each inlet zone 412 is connected to each branch zone 411 at both ends, such that each inlet zone 412 and each fin 42 are located between each branch zone 411. In other words, each inlet zone 412 and each branch zone 411 are respectively arranged around each fin 42 and each flow channel 43. One end of each channel 101 that connects to the heat exchange chamber 41 is connected to each branch zone 411. In this embodiment, the position of each channel 101 connecting to the corresponding branch zone 411 is located at the center of the branch zone 411, but this disclosure is not limited to this, and the position of each channel 101 connecting to the corresponding branch zone 411 is only required to be between the two ends of the branch zone 411. In this way, when the coolant flows to the heat exchange chamber 41 through each channel 101, it will first enter the center of the diversion area 411 and then flow to both sides to each inlet area 412. Then, it will flow from each inlet area 412 into each flow channel 43 between each fin 42, and finally leave the heat exchange chamber 41 through the through groove group 301 of the partition assembly 30.

[0037] Please refer to Figures 1, 2, 5, 10, and 11. The partition assembly 30 includes a partition plate 31, a guide plate 32, and an abutment piece 33. In this embodiment, the partition plate 31 and the abutment piece 33 are both metal parts, while the guide plate 32 is made of silicone or rubber, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The partition plate 31 is abutted between the first base 11 and the guide plate 32. The abutment piece 33 is abutted between the guide plate 32 and each fin 42 of the base 40. In other words, the abutment piece 33, the guide plate 32, and the partition plate 31 of the partition assembly 30 are sequentially stacked on top of each fin 42 of the base 40 along the vertical direction D.

[0038] The partition plate 31 has a wall 311, and the guide plate 32 has a groove 321. Specifically, the wall 311 extends from the partition plate 31 toward the guide plate 32 and is generally rectangular. The groove 321 is a rectangular groove formed by a recess at the periphery of the top of the guide plate 32. The wall 311 of the partition plate 31 is engaged with the groove 321 of the guide plate 32, thereby restricting the top of the guide plate 32 within the wall 311 at the bottom of the partition plate 31.

[0039] Furthermore, the abutment piece 33 has a pair of limiting baffles 331 on its opposite sides, and the guide plate 32 has a pair of positioning baffles 322 on its opposite sides. Each limiting baffle 331 of the abutment piece 33 extends vertically toward the guide plate 32 in the vertical direction D, thereby limiting the guide plate 32 on its opposite sides. Each positioning baffle 322 of the guide plate 32 extends vertically toward the abutment piece 33 in the vertical direction D, thereby limiting the abutment piece 33 on its opposite sides and located between the limiting baffles 331. In other words, each limiting baffle 331 of the abutment piece 33 limits one of the opposite sides of the guide plate 32, while each positioning baffle 322 of the guide plate 32 is located on the other opposite sides of the guide plate 32.

[0040] Therefore, the partition plate 31 and the guide plate 32 can be interlocked and positioned without relative displacement, and the guide plate 32 and the abutment piece 33 can also be interlocked and positioned without relative displacement. Since the guide plate 32 made of silicone or rubber is sandwiched between the partition plate 31 and the abutment piece 33 of the metal part, it can effectively prevent the guide plate 32 from deforming or shifting due to the strong upward force of the coolant in the vertical direction D, thereby ensuring that the coolant can flow stably when it flows through the partition assembly 30.

[0041] Further explanation, referring again to Figures 1, 2, 5, 10, and 11, shows that the through-slot assembly 301 includes a through hole 3011, a first through-slot 3012, a second through-slot 3013, and a third through-slot 3014. The through hole 3011 and the first through-slot 3012 are disposed on the partition plate 31. Specifically, the through hole 3011 is a circular hole that penetrates the partition plate 31 in the vertical direction D, and the first through-slot 3012 is disposed at the bottom of the partition plate 31 and communicates with the through hole 3011. The partition plate 31 has a fitting protrusion 312. The fitting protrusion 312 protrudes from the partition plate 31 toward the guide plate 32. The second through-slot 3013 penetrates the guide plate 32 in the vertical direction D, and the shape of the second through-slot 3013 corresponds to the shape of the fitting protrusion 312. The fitting protrusion 312 of the partition plate 31 is engaged within the second through groove 3013 of the guide plate 32, thereby further positioning the partition plate 31 and the guide plate 32. The first through groove 3012 is disposed within the fitting protrusion 312 and communicates with the second through groove 3013. In this embodiment, the center of the first through groove 3012 is a circular hole, and elongated strip-shaped holes extend from its opposite sides. The diameter of the circular hole at the center is larger than the width of the strip-shaped holes, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The third through groove 3014 penetrates the abutment piece 33 along the vertical direction D, and the third through groove 3014 communicates with the second through groove 3013 and the first through groove 3012 and communicates with the through hole 3011. In this embodiment, the third through groove 3014 is elongated and divided into two narrow sections and one wide section. The position of the wide section roughly corresponds to the position of the circular hole at the center of the first through groove 3012. Each narrow section is connected to the opposite sides of the wide section and roughly corresponds to the configuration of each strip hole in the first through groove 3012. However, this disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0042] It is worth mentioning that the through-slot group 301 of the separator 30 is actually perpendicular to each fin 42 and each flow channel 43, and the through-slot group 301 is roughly located at the center of each fin 42 and each flow channel 43. Specifically, taking Figures 1 and 2 as examples, each fin 42 and each flow channel 43 are parallel to the front-back direction of the base 10 and the base 40 (i.e., the setting direction of the liquid inlet port 121 and the liquid outlet port 111), while the first through-slot 3012 and the third through-slot 3014 of the through-slot group 301 are both parallel to the left-right direction of the base 10 and the base 40, so the first through-slot 3012 and the third through-slot 3014 are both perpendicular to each fin 42 and each flow channel 43. Therefore, when the coolant enters the flow channel 43 from each inlet zone 412, it flows to the center of each fin 42 and each flow channel 43, and then sequentially enters the third through groove 3014, the second through groove 3013, the first through groove 3012 and the through hole 3011 in the vertical direction D, thereby entering the confluence cavity 112 of the first base 11 through the partition assembly 30. Furthermore, when the coolant passes through the third through groove 3014 and the first through groove 3012, it is influenced by the narrow sections and the strip holes, gradually converging towards the wide sections and the circular holes, and then flowing out through the through hole 3011 of the partition plate 31.

[0043] Referring again to Figures 1 to 5, each channel 101 includes a first channel segment 1011 and a second channel segment 1012 that are interconnected. Each first channel segment 1011 is disposed in the first seat 11 and is connected to the heat exchange cavity 41 and the corresponding second channel segment 1012. Each second channel segment 1012 is disposed in the second seat 12 and is connected to the corresponding receiving groove 123 and the corresponding first channel segment 1011. In this embodiment, the first channel segment 1011 and the second channel segment 1012 in each channel 101 have the same inner diameter and are coaxially configured. However, in other embodiments, the first channel segment 1011 and the second channel segment 1012 of each channel 101 may have different inner diameters or be non-coaxially configured.

[0044] The dual-pump liquid cooling device disclosed herein has a liquid collection chamber 122 formed in the second base 12, and each pump 20 is arranged in parallel in each container 123. Therefore, after the coolant enters from the liquid inlet 121, it can first collect and flow in the liquid collection chamber 122, and then enter the heat exchange chamber 41 in sequence through the suction force generated by each pump 20 when it is running. This can effectively increase the flow rate of the coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve the heat dissipation efficiency and avoid the situation that the coolant is insufficient due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use.

[0045] In summary, the foregoing disclosure is intended to enable those skilled in the art to clearly understand the technical content of this disclosure and implement it accordingly, rather than to limit the scope of patent protection of this disclosure. In addition, this disclosure may of course have other embodiments not listed. Without departing from the spirit and essence of this disclosure, those skilled in the art should be able to devise various corresponding changes and modifications based on this disclosure, but all such corresponding changes and modifications should fall within the scope of protection of the patent application filed under this disclosure.
