Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to heating devices, and in particular to a technical improvement of a heating device for heating water. Prior Technology

[0002] Conventional heating devices, such as electric water heaters, typically heat stored water using a heating element, and the heated water is then output for external use through an outlet. However, during the heating process, the heating element only heats the water in a localized area around it. This locally heated water easily mixes with the surrounding cooler water, slowing down the process of uniformizing the overall water temperature. As a result, it takes a longer time to heat the water to the desired temperature, leading to poor heating efficiency.

[0003] Therefore, it is necessary to provide a novel and advanced heating device to solve the above-mentioned problems. Summary of the Invention

[0004] The main objective of this invention is to provide a heating device that provides high heating efficiency through a partitioned heating chamber.

[0005] To achieve the above objectives, the present invention provides a heating device, comprising: a cylindrical body, which is a horizontal cylindrical body, a partition portion provided inside the cylindrical body, the partition portion dividing the cylindrical body into a cold water zone and a hot water zone, a spacer portion provided inside the hot water zone, the spacer portion separating a heating chamber, a water inlet pipe provided in the cold water zone, a water outlet pipe provided in the hot water zone, a heating unit provided in the heating chamber, a first flow channel provided in the partition portion, a second flow channel provided in the spacer portion, and the second flow channel being not lower than the first flow channel relative to one bottom of the cylindrical body. [0007] The following examples illustrate possible implementations of the present invention, but are not intended to limit the scope of protection of the present invention. The use of "a" or "at least one" before the terms mentioned herein is not a limitation on the quantity, and may also be "multiple" depending on the requirements. Such variations in quantity are also within the scope of protection, and are therefore stated in advance.

[0008] Please refer to Figures 1 to 4, which show a first embodiment of the present invention. The heating device 1 of the present invention includes: a cylindrical body 10.

[0009] The cylinder 10 is a horizontal cylinder (placed horizontally). A partition 20 is provided inside the cylinder 10, dividing it into a cold water zone 11 and a hot water zone 12. A partition 30 is provided within the hot water zone 12, separating it into a heating chamber 13. The cold water zone 11 has an inlet pipe 40, and the hot water zone 12 has an outlet pipe 50. A heating unit 60 (such as an electric heating element, or a heating rod, etc.) is provided within the heating chamber 13. The partition 20 has a first flow channel 21, and the partition 30 has a second flow channel 31. The second flow channel 31 is not lower than the first flow channel 21 relative to the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10. In this embodiment, the first flow channel 21 and the second flow channel 31 are located at the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10, which facilitates the flow of water with a relatively low temperature. Specifically, the first flow channel 21 connects the cold water zone 11 and the hot water zone 12, and the second flow channel 31 connects the heating chamber 13 and the hot water zone 12. By separating the heating chamber 13 and making the second flow channel 31 higher than the first flow channel 21, localized concentrated heating is achieved to provide an instantaneous heating effect. Some of the hot water discharged from the heating chamber 13 is then mixed with the water in the hot water zone 12 and recirculated for heating. The height difference between the first flow channel 21 and the second flow channel 31 reduces the mixing of hot and cold water, thereby improving heating efficiency and the stability of the outlet water temperature.

[0010] In this embodiment, as shown in FIG4, the partition 30 encloses the rectangular heating chamber 13. Alternatively, it can enclose the heating chamber 13 in the shape of an arc, fan, square, triangle, or bow, depending on the requirements. Furthermore, the partition 30 is located on the partition 20 and co-constructs the heating chamber 13 with the partition 20. In other embodiments, the partition can also be independently configured and not connected to the partition 20, depending on the requirements.

[0011] Preferably, the bottom end of one of the partition portions 30 forms the second flow channel 31, which opens toward the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10, allowing the lower-temperature hot water in the hot water zone 12 to enter the heating chamber 13 from bottom to top for uniform heating and effective temperature maintenance. In other embodiments, the bottom end of the partition portion may also be recessed with at least one or more openings to form the second flow channel.

[0012] Preferably, one inlet end 51 of the outlet pipe 50 extends toward the top 15 of the cylinder 10 and is higher than the top 32 of the partition 30, and the inlet end 51 is provided with an inlet 52; specifically, the partition 30 is provided with an opening 33, which opens toward the top 15 of the cylinder 10, and the inlet 52 is higher than the opening 33 relative to the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10. In this embodiment, the top 32 of the partition 30 surrounds the opening 33. In other embodiments, the partition may also have a top wall with the opening in the top wall; this ensures that the hottest hot water flows upward from the opening 33 and the hot water drawn in from the inlet 52 is the uppermost high-temperature water, which helps to maintain a stable and high-temperature outlet water.

[0013] In this embodiment, the water inlet pipe 40 can discharge cold water into the cold water zone 11.

[0014] The partition 30 is further provided with a guide hole 34, which opens laterally to the opening direction of the opening 33 (i.e., towards the direction extending towards the central axis A of the cylinder 10). The guide hole 34 connects the hot water zone 12 and the heating chamber 13. The guide hole 34 is located between the opening 33 and the second flow channel 31. Relative to the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10, the guide hole 34 is lower than the water inlet 52. Water in the heating chamber 13 and the hot water zone 12 can flow through the guide hole 34 to maintain the hot water temperature in the middle layer of the hot water zone 12 relative to the cylinder 10. Specifically, the partition 30 has a plurality of baffles 35, 35a, which surround the heating chamber 13. One of the baffles 35a is provided with a flow guide hole 34, which corresponds to the heating unit 60 and can effectively concentrate the heating. The partition 30 can be integrally folded to form the plurality of baffles 35, 35a, or the plurality of baffles 35, 35a can be welded together.

[0015] Preferably, the heating device 1 further includes a temperature control unit 70, which is disposed in the cylinder 10 and adjacent to the partition 20. Specifically, the temperature control unit 70 may include, for example, a temperature sensor for sensing water temperature and a controller for controlling the opening and closing of the heating unit 60.

[0016] The partition 20 is provided with a through hole 22, which connects the hot water zone 12 and the cold water zone 11. The through hole 22 is located in the partition 20, and its upper end is higher than one of the horizontal lines 71 of the temperature sensing and control unit 70, so that hot water in the hot water zone 12 can flow from the through hole 22 to the cold water zone 11. Specifically, the through hole 22 can be aligned with the guide hole 34, so that the hot water flowing out of the guide hole 34 can easily flow through the through hole 22.

[0017] A third flow channel 23 is formed between the partition 20 and the top 15 of one of the cylinders 10, and a first flow channel 21 is formed between the bottom 14 of one of the partition 20 and the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10. The cross-sectional dimension of the third flow channel 23 is smaller than that of the first flow channel 21, as shown in Figure 3. In this way, the hot water in the hot water zone 12 can flow to the cold water zone 11 through the third flow channel 23, and the cold water in the cold water zone 11 can flow to the heating chamber 13 through the first flow channel 21. This reduces the amount and speed of hot water passing through the third flow channel 23, thereby reducing excessive agitation of the water in the cylinder 10 and improving heating efficiency and the stability of the outlet water temperature.

[0018] In this embodiment, the heating unit 60 is installed at the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10 and extends toward the top 15 of the cylinder 10. Preferably, the cylinder 10 defines the central axis A, the bottom 14 and the top 15 of the cylinder 10 are located on a first direction L1, and the two opposite sides 16 of the cylinder 10 are located on a second direction L2. The central axis A, the first direction L1 and the second direction L2 are perpendicular to each other. The heating unit 60 includes a plurality of heating parts 61, which are arranged in the second direction L2. This can save space in the hot water area 12, so as to have a narrower hot water area 12 and improve heating efficiency.

[0019] In use, the heating unit 60 heats the water in the heating chamber 13. The hot water in the heating chamber 13 is discharged upward through the opening 33 to the upper layer of the hot water zone 12 to raise the temperature of the upper layer of the hot water zone 12. It can also be output through the outlet pipe 50 and discharged laterally through the guide hole 34 to the middle layer of the hot water zone 12. Then it flows through the through hole 22 to the cold water zone 11 and mixes with the cold water in the cold water zone 11. The cooler water in the hot water zone 12 will flow upward from the bottom of the hot water zone 12 into the heating chamber 13 through the second flow channel 31. The cold water in the cold water zone 11 can flow into the heating chamber 13 through the first flow channel 21 (the arrow in Figure 2 indicates the direction of water flow). Therefore, the heating efficiency is good.

[0020] Please refer to Figures 5 to 7, which show a second embodiment of the present invention. The difference between this second embodiment and the first embodiment is that the heating unit 60a of the heating device 1a is mounted on the side portion 16 of the cylinder 10 and extends radially away from the side portion 16 of the cylinder 10. The side portion 16 is located in the second direction L2. Specifically, the spacer portion 30a connects the side portion 16 of the cylinder 10 and the partition portion 20 (or may not be connected to the partition portion 20), and is open relative to the top and bottom of the cylinder 10. Preferably, the heating unit 60a includes a first heating section 62 and a second heating section 63 connected to each other. The first heating section 62 extends along the second direction L2 away from one of the sides 16, and the second heating section 63 extends toward the bottom 14 of the cylinder 10. In this embodiment, the heating unit 60a is slightly L-shaped. In other embodiments, it may also be obliquely extended in a straight line, S-shape, wave shape, or other shapes. Therefore, the water in the heating chamber 13 can be heated over a wide range.
