Abstract

A method for restoring sound field in a different location utilizing site impulse response, which includes establishing an impulse response for the first site using an on-site 3D sound field measurement or a 3D visual sound field measurement, and converting it into a digital impulse response file. A target audio signal is then convoluted with the digital impulse response file of the first site to generate a synthesized audio signal that exhibits the response characteristics of the first site. The synthesized audio signal is output to a playback system at the second site. A compensation filter is established at the second location to reduce the impact of the second site's own response on the restoration effect.
