Abstract

A visual surface plasmon resonance biodetection apparatus defines an optical path and comprises a first optical module, a surface plasmonic resonance biosensor and a second optical module. The first optical module is disposed on the optical path, and is configured to provide an infrared light beam traveling to the surface plasmonic resonance biosensor. The surface plasmonic resonance biosensor is disposed on the light path, and emits a reflected beam when irradiated by the infrared light beam. The surface plasmonic resonance biosensor includes an optical prism and a sensing member. The sensing member includes an active layer spaced apart from the optical prism and a metal layer. The metal layer connects the active layer and is disposed between the active layer and the optical prism. The second optical module is disposed on the path, is configured to convert the reflected light beam to a visible light, and includes an up-converter.
