In the head mounted display device, the eye-tracking module is used to capture real-time eye images of the user. The processing module is used to detect the offset distance between the pupil centers in the real-time eye image and the pupil centers in the preset standard eye image, as well as the angle formed between the lines connecting the inner and outer corners of the eyes in the real-time eye image and those in the standard eye image. The processing module is also used to output adjustment prompt information when the offset distance is greater than a preset distance threshold and / or the angle is greater than a preset angle threshold, so that the user can adjust the wearing of the head mounted display device, thereby enhancing the comfort and display effect of the head mounted display device.
