Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] This disclosure relates to a display device, and more particularly to a capacitive touch liquid crystal display device. [Previous Technology]

[0002] Currently, video conferencing devices are trending towards larger sizes and multi-touch capabilities, allowing multiple participants to simultaneously use them for online meetings. Since mobile video conferencing devices are frequently moved or flipped, their backlight modules are secured with screws and aluminum front frames, and bezels are formed around the display panel to reinforce the structure. However, these designs not only increase the size of the video conferencing device but also obstruct the visible area at the edges of the LCD panel, causing inconvenience. Therefore, there is a current need for a structurally reinforced, narrow-bezel video conferencing display device to meet market demands. [Summary of the Invention]

[0003] One of the purposes of this disclosure is to provide a display device that can narrow the bezel width at a low cost, making it convenient for users to view and use.

The back plate includes a bottom and a wall portion. The bottom has a plurality of locking holes, and the wall portion has a first end and a second end opposite to each other. The first end is connected to the edge of the bottom. The frame includes an abutment portion, a support portion, and a snap fastener. The abutment portion is located outside the back plate and abuts against the wall portion. The support portion is connected to the abutment portion and supports the second end. The snap fastener is connected to the side of the abutment portion away from the wall portion. Each snap fastener abuts against the bottom and is snapped into the snap fastener. Each snap fastener has at least one through hole, which is aligned with a corresponding one of the locking holes. The locking fasteners pass through the through holes of one of the snap fasteners and are locked into a corresponding one of the locking holes. The display panel is connected to the side of the support portion away from the bottom.

[0005] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, each of the above-described fastening members includes a lower plate, an upper plate, and a connecting plate. The lower plate abuts against the bottom, and a through hole is located on the lower plate. The fastening portion is at least partially located between the upper plate and the lower plate, and the upper plate is configured to press against the fastening portion. The connecting plate connects the upper plate and the lower plate.

[0006] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the above-mentioned upper plate and the abutting portion have a gap.

[0007] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the edge of the above-mentioned snap-fit portion abuts against the connecting plate.

[0008] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the aforementioned frame further includes at least one limiting portion. The limiting portion connects the abutting portion, the supporting portion, and the snap-fit portion, and is configured to position one of the snap-fit members snapped into the frame.

[0009] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, each of the above-mentioned fasteners has a plurality of perforations, the perforations are arranged along a first direction, and the lower plate and the connecting plate are arranged along a second direction, the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction.

[0010] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the aforementioned bottom includes a first sub-bottom, a second sub-bottom, and a third sub-bottom, the third sub-bottom being connected between the first sub-bottom and the second sub-bottom, a locking hole being located at the first sub-bottom, and a height difference existing between the first sub-bottom and the second sub-bottom. The display device further includes a plurality of optical elements. The optical elements are at least partially located between the support portion and the bottom, and are stacked on the second sub-bottom, wherein one of the optical elements covers the locking hole.

[0011] In one or more embodiments of this disclosure, the vertical projection of the support portion toward the first sub-bottom overlaps at least partially with the optical element.

[0012] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the optical element and the support portion are separated from each other.

[0013] In one or more embodiments disclosed herein, the locking components described above are screws and the locking holes are screw holes.

[0014] The above-described embodiments disclosed herein have at least the following advantages:

[0015] (1) Since multiple fasteners are respectively fastened to the fasteners of the frame, and the fasteners are locked to the bottom of the back panel by fasteners, the frame does not need to be fixed to the wall of the back panel by other fastening units, so that the width of the frame in the horizontal direction can be reduced, the width of the display device frame can also be narrowed, and only the edge of the display panel is blocked by the support, making it convenient for users to view and use the display device.

[0016] (2)Since at least one optical element covers the locking hole, the optical element can separate the optical cavity from the locking hole. Therefore, even if foreign objects pass through the locking hole during the assembly of the display device, the optical element can prevent foreign objects from falling into the optical cavity, which can improve the production yield of the display device.

The display device 100 further includes a glass cover plate, which covers the display panel 150 and is also fixed to the side of the support portion 122 away from the bottom 111. In addition, the locking fastener 140 may be a screw, and the locking hole HL may be a screw hole.

[0022] In one embodiment of this disclosure, the frame 120 may be composed of one piece or multiple pieces. The frame 120 covers the wall portion 112 from the outside and the abutting portion 121 abuts the wall portion 112. At least two sides of the frame 120 have multiple snap-fit portions 123 and multiple connecting portions. The position of the connecting portion on the frame 120 is offset from that of the snap-fit portion 123. The back cover of the display device 100 can be connected and fixed with the connecting portion and cover the back plate 110 and the frame 120. In one embodiment of this disclosure, since multiple fasteners 130 are respectively fastened to the fastening portion 123 of the frame 120, and the fasteners 130 are locked to the bottom 111 of the back plate 110 by means of fasteners 140, the frame 120 does not need to be fixed to the wall portion 112 of the back plate 110 by other locking units, so that the width of the frame 120 in the horizontal direction can be reduced, the width W of the bezel surrounding the screen of the display device 100 (see Figure 3) can also be narrowed, and only the edge of the display panel 150 is covered by the support portion 122, which makes it convenient for users to view and use the display device 100.

[0023] In one embodiment of this disclosure, the latching member 130 may be a metal part, the locking member 140 may be a screw, and the locking hole HL may be a screw hole. In one embodiment of this disclosure, as shown in Figure 2, the latching member 130 has multiple through holes HP, and any one of the through holes HP can be aligned with the locking hole HL, making it convenient for the latching member 130 to adjust its position and align with the latching part 123. In one embodiment of this disclosure, one side of the display device 100 does not have a latching member 130, for example, the ground side.

[0024] Further, as shown in Figure 3, the fastener 130 includes a lower plate 131, an upper plate 132, and a connecting plate 133. The fastener 130 is integrally formed in one piece, wherein the connecting plate 133 connects the upper plate 132 and the lower plate 131. The lower plate 131 abuts against the bottom 111 of the back plate 110, and the aforementioned perforation HP is located on the lower plate 131. The fastening portion 123 of the frame 120 is at least partially located between the upper plate 132 and the lower plate 131 of the fastener 130, and the upper plate 132 is configured to press against the fastening portion 123. In other words, the upper plate 132, the lower plate 131, and the connecting plate 133 of the fastener 130 form a groove T, and the fastening portion 123 of the frame 120 is at least partially engaged in the groove T. In one embodiment of this disclosure, the edge of the fastening portion 123 abuts against the connecting plate 133. Furthermore, as shown in Figure 3, an outward opening OP is formed between the snap-fit portion 123 and the support portion 122 of the frame 120. The upper plate 132 of the snap-fit member 130 is inserted into the opening OP, and there is a gap between the upper plate 132 of the snap-fit member 130 and the abutting portion 121 in the opening OP, that is, the upper plate 132 and the abutting portion 121 do not directly contact each other.

[0025] Further, as shown in Figure 3, the bottom 111 of the back panel 110 includes a first sub-bottom 1111, a second sub-bottom 1112, and a third sub-bottom 1113. The third sub-bottom 1113 is connected between the first sub-bottom 1111 and the second sub-bottom 1112, and the aforementioned locking hole HL is located in the first sub-bottom 1111. In this embodiment, there is a height difference V between the first sub-bottom 1111 and the second sub-bottom 1112. Specifically, the second sub-bottom 1112 is closer to the display panel 150 than the first sub-bottom 1111. Furthermore, the display device 100 further includes a plurality of optical elements 160. The optical elements 160 are at least partially located between the support portion 122 and the bottom 111, and are stacked on the second sub-bottom 1112 of the bottom 111. The optical elements 160 and the first sub-bottom 1111 are separated from each other, that is, the optical elements 160 and the first sub-bottom 1111 do not directly contact each other. In practical applications, optical element 160 may include a reflective sheet, a light guide plate, a diffuser, and a brightness enhancement sheet stacked sequentially, wherein the reflective sheet is disposed on the second sub-bottom 1112 of the back plate 110. In one embodiment of this disclosure, the display device 100 adopts an edge-lit backlight design with the light source located on the ground side, but this disclosure is not limited to this. The display device 100 may also adopt a direct-lit backlight design with the light source disposed on the bottom 111, or adopt a self-emissive display panel without optical element 160 and light source.

[0026] In one embodiment of this disclosure, as shown in Figure 3, the display panel 150 and the optical element 160 define an optical cavity C between them. It is worth noting that at least one optical element 160 covers the locking hole HL, such as a reflective sheet. The optical element 160 can separate the optical cavity C from the locking hole HL. Therefore, even if foreign objects pass through the locking hole HL during the assembly of the display device 100, the optical element 160 can prevent foreign objects from falling into the optical cavity C, which can improve the production yield of the display device 100. In contrast, if the locking hole passes through the wall of the frame and the back plate from the side, foreign objects will fall into the optical cavity C through the locking hole, affecting the performance of the optical element 160 and the display panel 150. In one embodiment of this disclosure, the optical element 160 covering the locking hole HL is a rigid sheet material, which is attached to or abuts against the second sub-bottom 1112 of the bottom 111, and extends outward parallel to the second sub-bottom 1112 to cover the locking hole HL and the third sub-bottom 1113 of the first sub-bottom 1111. There are no other elements or structures between the optical element 160 and the locking hole HL and the third sub-bottom 1113. However, this disclosure is not limited to this. For example, the optical element 160 covering the locking hole HL can be made of other materials, structures or shapes to fit the first sub-bottom 1111, the locking hole HL or the third sub-bottom 1113. There may also be other adhesive attachments or support structures between the optical element 160 and the first sub-bottom 1111, the locking hole HL or the third sub-bottom 1113.

[0027] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 3, the optical element 160 and the support portion 122 of the frame 120 are separated from each other, that is, the optical element 160 and the support portion 122 do not directly contact each other.

[0028] Furthermore, the support portion 122 is divided into two stages. The first stage 1221 and the second stage 1222 are substantially parallel to the bottom 111. The second stage 1222 is located outside the first stage 1221. The first stage 1221 of the support portion 122 supports the second end 112b of the wall portion 112 and extends to the inner side of the wall portion 112, and at least partially extends above the optical element 160. That is, the vertical projections of the support portion 122 and the optical element 160 relative to the bottom 111 at least partially overlap. As shown in Figure 3, the first stage 1221 of the support portion 122 partially covers the edge range of the optical element 160 to avoid light leakage from the optical element 160. The first stage 1221 of the support portion 122 connects the connector 170 and the display panel 150, and the second stage 1222 of the support portion 122 connects the glass cover. In one embodiment of this disclosure, the support portion 122 covers an area of the optical element 160 between 3 mm and 4 mm.

[0029] Please return to Figure 2. In one embodiment of this disclosure, as shown in Figure 2, the frame 120 further includes at least one limiting portion 124. The limiting portion 124 connects the abutting portion 121, the supporting portion 122, and the snap-fit portion 123, and is configured to position the snap-fit member 130 snapped onto the frame 120. The upper plate 132 of each of the snap-fit members 130 can be restricted between the two limiting portions 124 to prevent the frame 120 and the snap-fit member 130 from sliding relative to each other.

[0030] In one embodiment of this disclosure, as shown in Figure 2, the snap fastener 130 has three through holes HP, which are arranged along the first direction D1. Only one through hole HP aligns with the locking hole HL. However, this disclosure is not limited to this. The number of through holes HP of the same snap fastener 130 can be more or less, and the number of aligned locking holes HL can also be increased or decreased. A snap fastener 130 can be locked to the bottom 111 by multiple fasteners 140. In one embodiment of this disclosure, the lower plate 131 and the connecting plate 133 of the snap fastener 130 are arranged along the second direction D2, which is perpendicular to the first direction D1.

[0031] In summary, the technical solution disclosed in the above embodiments has at least the following advantages:

[0032] (1)Since multiple fasteners are respectively fastened to the fasteners of the frame, and the fasteners are locked to the bottom of the back panel by fasteners, the frame does not need to be fixed to the wall of the back panel by other fastening units, so that the width of the frame in the horizontal direction can be reduced, the width of the display device frame can also be narrowed, and only the edge of the display panel is blocked by the support, making it convenient for users to view and use the display device.

[0033] (2)Since at least one optical element covers the locking hole, the optical element can separate the optical cavity from the locking hole. Therefore, even if foreign objects pass through the locking hole during the assembly of the display device, the optical element can prevent foreign objects from falling into the optical cavity, thereby improving the production yield of the display device.

[0034] Although the present disclosure has been disclosed above with reference to embodiments, it is not intended to limit the present disclosure. Anyone skilled in the art can make various modifications and refinements without departing from the spirit and scope of the present disclosure. Therefore, the scope of protection of the present disclosure shall be determined by the appended claims. [Simplified Explanation of the Diagram]
