Abstract

An electronic device capable of touch input is disclosed. The electronic device includes a touch panel, a contact electrode, and a touch controller. The contact electrode is configured to be electrically coupled to a coupling conductor and is not directly electrically connected to a touch surface of the touch panel. The touch controller is configured to output a coupled touch signal to the contact electrode during a touch detection period, and to perform a touch determination in response to a reception determination that the touch panel has received the coupled touch signal via the coupling conductor.
